Day 24 the Feast of St. Anselm
our blessed candle
As the world at large seems to be considering the loosening of restrictions, our city is clamping down. There is one road out of town, and at the end of it is a village of about 200. Many of the inhabitants work here in town and daily commute the 16 miles each way. All of them shop at the few stores here. They now will have to have a permit to enter the city. Ummm.
Really? The only way to get to the village is through our "city" of 2300 souls. Actually there is a small plane airport near the village, but I can't imagine many visitors will use it as a way to sneak into the city. The Virus is setting neighbors against neighbors.
Day 24
I did no special projects today. I slept in until 9am, worked on school with M, went for a couple of walks, washed dishes, did some laundry, and...the day is over.

The road grader went by today!
Came across these notes today. I wrote them in early November (so much has happened since then!). Don't know what I was reading, but they're worth remembering.
• Your brain is not your friend.
• You have habits of thought that do not correspond to reality.
• The path to holiness is the subordination of the passions to the intellect and will.
• Procrastination, fear, anxiety, and depression are all mental habits that involve us indulging in things that are not in keeping with reality.
• Exercise the will to choose reality over fantasy.
•This is the way to overcome poor self-discipline and root out habitual sins and faults.
= Get yourself under control!
