Focus on the simple things
the drive to work
Scandinavian Creek
the last of the ice
Lots more people in the building today. Staff meeting. About 10 people met in the library (social distancing) and others were Zooming. I was surprised that some were no-shows. We've been paid for over a month with very little work done, show up for the staff meeting people!
My work space is going to get a facelift soon, so I took some pictures to remind me of what it looks like. Should've taken some photos when I first started!
I actually really like the yellow.
It makes me happy.
Grabbed some books to take to my coworker L. I stopped by her house and we went for a walk. It was cold out! 40° and overcast. She lives on the detour road, so there was a lot of traffic and it was really dusty. She invited me in - what an absolutely gorgeous view she has overlooking the tundra! Breathtaking!
Exhausted when I got home. Wanted to take a nap, but, alas, too much to do. Threw in a load of laundry. The washer was groaning and sounds like it's about to explode. Sigh. Yet another thing to deal with.
Had a phone appointment with a financial guy. Should probably squirrel away some nuts for the future. It's all so complicated. Still haven't dealt with the Roth IRA guy.
Day 33
Did I mention that it's freezing out?
Went for a walk with C. Lots of talk about what the region's doing re: The Virus. Rumor has it we'll all have to wear masks around town. And a couple of airlines are requiring them too. Sigh.
M's bedroom window
Still a pile ofsnow out there!
C made us a set of curtains for H's Virus room. M liked them so much that he swapped them out with his! I so appreciate the good friends and neighbors we have. Helps to know you can count on folks for little things. The simple joys of life!
another project
T and M got some parts for their airplane. I am glad they are finding ways to occupy their time. I haven't checked M's schoolwork in two days. Tomorrow will be...
another day.
