Happy Easter!

Whether I receive good or ill,
I return thanks to God,
Who taught me
always to trust Him unreservedly.
                                  -St. Patrick's Confessio
O death! where is now thy kingdom?
Sin had made us thy slaves;
thy victory was complete;
and now, lo! thou thyself are defeated!
Jesus, Whom thou didst exultingly
hold under thy law,
has set Himself free;
and we, after thou hast domineered
over us for a time,
we too shall be free from thy grasp.
-Dom Gueranger.

It warmed up to just above freezing. Precipitation all day: rain, sleet, snow. Despite the weather, we had an Easter egg hunt today.

I wrote clues in plastic eggs, they hunted for the eggs and eventually found their Easter baskets. Silly at their age, but it gave them something to do and made the day special.

H had a zoom meeting with folks who live and lived in the area. He enjoyed the socializing.

My family zoom meeting was postponed to next Sunday. I am glad of it as there were hard feelings amongst us all last Easter, and it is too recent a memory to be put aside completely. We were all together then physically but relationally eons apart, the complete opposite of this year where we're all separated but united in spirit. Thanks to The Virus.

No special Easter dinner today. Crockpot chicken with brown rice and green beans. M ate almost all of the candy from his Easter basket. All of us except H have sweet tooths.

C and I went for a walk. We got soaked, and the road was all mud and giant puddles but the fresh air felt good. She made a couple more masks for us.
Day 15...still wearing the dress!
