The last Friday in April
busy beaver
T dropped me off at work this morning. Met a coworker on the way in. Great to see him and catch up on things.
He just found out that because he lives one mile outside city limits, he and every member of his family need a permit to enter town. Really. Neighbors against neighbors. Us against them. If the stupidity of it all wasn't so terrifying, it'd be funny.
tools of the trade
I spent the morning mostly working with biographies: changing call numbers, moving some to the MS, updating the catalog, and, sadly, weeding a few. There was a request from a student for a book series; glad to hear some kids are keeping up with their reading!Stopped at the post office on the way home and mailed our second tax payment and a letter to M's penpal. Most folks were wearing masks, but there were a few who weren't.
I got this in the mail today. The local clinic occasionally has wellness events; the latest was to post a picture doing some sort of exercise. I posted a picture of my dog on a leash! I need another water bottle like I need a hole in my head! Still, it was fun to get something in the mail.
We also got these in the mail for participating in the Idiaread program. I'd signed up myself, T and M, but there were only two bags of prizes! Guess we'll have to share.
School with M briefly when I got home from work. He has been walking down to the schoolbus stop every weekday to collect his lunch. Nice for him to have his own stash of food!
Although it might throw off our current schedule, I'm thinking I might go in for a full day next week so I can get more done, rather than going in twice for a shorter period. And if the weather cooperates, I can walk home!
Day 27
H and T spent quite a bit of the day working on the jeep. It has more clearance, so will hopefully be easier to drive through the potholes and mud.
signs of spring: rhubarb!
C and I enjoyed a walk in the evening.
Passed by two other parties also out walking.

My sister posted this Rolling Stones video on Facebook. I find it terrifying. And informative.

Cities are deserted...eerie.
