Treading water

Hard not to be discouraged with all that's going on. The one scheduled commercial passenger airline that flies to our town declared bankruptcy and is no longer flying. Our preschool teacher, and a stalwart pillar of the community, passed away of cancer after being diagnosed late this fall; only 10 people can attend her funeral and burial. The first case of Covid-19 was diagnosed in western Alaska. Boris Johnson, the British prime minister, is in intensive care with The Virus. Heard from a friend in Germany; things are tough there and she's worried.

T went back to work part-time starting today. He's young and healthy, and eager to work. But this mama worries.

H & M went out for a ski this morning. It was well below freezing and the snow conditions were excellent. While they were out I tidied up the pantry. Cold and windy out with an occasional snow flurry.

School at home. Walk with M to the schoolbus stop to pick up his lunch. Read another library book online. Walked with C. She's making masks for her family; she's an accomplished seamstress, so she's up for the challenge. Wore The Dress again - 9 days down and 91 to go!



My sweet dog is getting old. He went out for a walk with me and could hardly keep up. Poor old thing.
