Friday is just another day of the week.

Blessed is the man who is found
without blemish,
and who has not gone after gold,
nor put his trust in money nor in treasures.
Who is he, and we will praise him?
For he has done wonderful things in his life.
- Ecclus. 31:9

Love this!

Saw this picture advertised on Facebook. Painted by Leonid Afremov. Just gorgeous!

Schoolwork with M in the morning. Talked to him about having a "bootcamp" for his Fix It! Grammar. If we continue at the current rate, he'll be working on it all summer! Everything else seems up to date except his assigned reading. Next week we'll start on the books that have been sitting on his shelf gathering dust. It really is an ideal time to go through them.

Went into work at 1pm. The principal was there buzzing around the place, and the painter had started working on another room. Keeping busy! I moved some furniture around. I never liked the previous configuration because there was always people or their things in my workspace. But with the change, I've cut off quite a bit of working space. Will leave it for a few weeks and see if it's workable or if I should reconfigure it. I put a human body poster and skeleton right by the entry. That definitely won't work! Scare the kids half to death! Will have to move it on Monday!

I walked over to the post office. I'm waiting on a coffee order. I got an email on Monday saying it's been delivered, but nothing has shown up in our box yet. T is also waiting on an order which hadn't shown up when he checked the mail at lunch, so I checked it after work. Nothing. The p.o. was really busy. I put on my mask before I entered, and took it off immediately upon leaving. Too hot out to wear it!

It was still a bit before 5pm, so I walked up to T's office. It's hot out! And dusty. I was on my feet all afternoon, moving furniture and dusting off posters and shelves. Tired. There was a picnic table in the shade where I waited. Very pleasant.

Home. Immediately started on dinner. Salmon chowder. I also made some coleslaw for tomorrow's dinner (it always tastes better the next day!). Hung up the laundry and washed another load. After dinner C and I went for a walk. Plodded, really. My poor old dog has slowed down so much, he was keeping pace with us.

I was ready to read, but figured I should do something else. So I dug out a craft project that the kids never got around to doing: mosaic. It's tedious and not something I'd be good at doing every day. I made a coeur. Lots of leftover bricks, so I think I'll make a fish tomorrow. Or else throw them out in the rock garden. We'll see what tomorrow brings!

I finally ordered another dress from wool&. The dress I'd been wearing for the 100 Day Challenge started unraveling at the waistband. I'd contacted the company and was immediately sent a voucher for a new dress, but I never got around to ordering it. Decided on a different style this time: an A-line.
