It's the end of the world as we know it...and I feel fine.
Not really. It sucks being stuck. Feeling stuck. Listening to news reports on how bad it is with people dying like flies. Or at least potentially. Then reading Facebook posts about how fake it is. And that our civil rights are being squelched. Having to wear masks is creepy. Social distancing is a stupid way to talk about physical separation. I'm tired of it all. And eating too much.
Went to work today for a staff meeting. Held in a classroom with 7 people there physically and lots of others on zoom. It was pretty good, mostly planning for next year. I asked about starting a book club after school. I might have something for the little ones before school too.
The library is still a mess. Coach said he's finishing up today. I won't go in until Thursday or Friday though. Give the paint a chance to cure. Visited with a few teachers. Only one was wearing a mask.
Went for a walk with my coworker S. We hadn't seen each other in forever! We walked from the school to the water tower, around the senior center and back to the school. We agreed to walk together every Tuesday at 10am.
On our way back we stopped in the home ec room and picked up our pizzas. I was so pleased by the note. I know they gave one to all the employees, but can't help feeling chuffed. ๐
Arrived home at about 1:30 to find crankiness. H was building a frame to cover ductwork in a bedroom. T was crabby because H was working in his bedroom. M was grumpy because he wanted to go out driving and H was too busy to take him. Sigh.
I did some laundry. Drafted other modern art. Walked dogs around the loop. Pizza and salad for dinner. Loop walk with C in the evening.
Raked the garden near the honeysuckle bush. Cut each of the three trollius plants in half. Planted the 3 halves in front of the house. Dug up irises and planted them in the holes next to the original trollius plants. Hopefully they'll all grow!

As I was leaving the post office, L texted and asked if I would like to walk. We met on Cessna off Lake Road and walked there and down to the pond on the next road. Nice walk. Not as dusty as the other roads, and new scenery.

Sickeningly sweet but I ate them anyway.
Thanks Annie Roonie!

This is so true!!! A friend of mine once scolded me and told me it's rude to be quiet and not talk to people. Even random strangers. And yet, sometimes there's just nothing to say.
Other times I just want to shout, "Shut up!"
