These shoes were not made for walking.
Spent the day at work. Went in with T at 7:30 and got home about 5:30. I'm not used to long days at work anymore!

T and I had lunch together. We went to the greasy take-out truck again. Subway opened today, but orders all have to be made through the app, and neither of us have it downloaded. So I got the $9 special: grilled cheese & tater tots, and T got a burger. Total $28. No drinks. Spendy. We went to the boat harbor again. So different from last week! No ice at all!
The painting at work has progressed rapidly. No more yellow! I got chewed out by the painter for using sticky tape to hang up posters because they ripped the drywall paper off and he had to spackle. He painted two walls today, and will put on a second coat tomorrow. I'll go in on Friday to move stuff from behind the counter so he can get started on that wall.

I ended up submitting a last minute book order today for some history and geography books. I'd previously been told that I could keep ordering, but apparently the window is closing soon. Hopefully the order will go through!
Teachers have already been asking about next year's schedule, so I confirmed with Mr. S that my schedule will be the same. Yup. Volunteered for recess duty but not needed. Have 5/12 class times confirmed.
Other than that, I continued to change call #s and update Alexandria. Slog. But glad I have the time to do it! Computer was super slow and wonky. Annoying!
I was ready to leave at 5pm, and walked over to the other school building to drop off M's completed assignments. The box was gone! M will have to hand them over tomorrow when he collects his lunch.
I called T who said he'd be on his way in five minutes, so I started walking. Down the dusty main road.
fire hall
Past the fire hall, onto the bike path. Clomping along in my clogs and lugging a heavy bag. Getting sprayed with dust every time a car passed me. Alas, my shoes were not made for walking. Vanity. Killing me.
My poor aching feet! 15 minutes later I stopped at Scandinavian Creek and called T. Where on earth was he? Just leaving work. I leaned against the guard rail and waited. I could trudge no further.

Once home, I rested with my feet up and a cup of tea in my hand. Flipped through a Boden catalog. Watched H make dinner: grilled red salmon and a salad.
Went for a walk about 8pm with C. As I was getting my coat, the dogs scrambled for the door. As I was putting on my shoes, the dog started yowling. "Walk!" Yowl. They were so excited. Yowl! Really funny. Sadly, around the corner we encountered some shady dudes smoking pot. Ugh!
Neighbors' daughter got home from college today. Her dad is staying at the bunkhouse while she quarantines at home with the rest of the family. That way he can still go to work. What a weird world it's become.
Home to flop on the couch and watch a Jackie Chan movie with H and M. Neither I nor M had ever seen one before. Hysterically funny!
Love the colorful patterns!
Happy Birthday, +Bette!
