Another Saturday Night....

The bird feeder limb fell off its tree.

Out cold when H woke me this morning at 9am. He headed off to the Lake shortly thereafter. I made some coffee: LavAzza from Tirano, Italy. I picked it up in Anchorage when I was there in March. Pretty good coffee, a mix of Arabica and Robusta.

Speaking of coffee, I really need to order some again. I haven't heard from Mystic Monk, the outfit I ordered coffee from before. At this point I don't think they're sending me a replacement order. C told me that the coffee shack here in town closed yesterday for the rest of the month. M and I wondered why the line of cars to get coffee extended onto the road!

T, M and I went to a yard sale about 11 o'clock. Junk dragged from a damp basement. I did buy four champagne glasses and a water glass. A bargain at 25 cents each. T continued on to work. He decided to go in today so he could get to tasks he hasn't been able to do during the work week. M and I walked home. Pleasant walk!

Now I  have to clear out a

cabinet to store them!

M spent the day on his flight simulator. He called the tech helpline yesterday and got an activation code so that he could use it on his desktop (offline). He did take the dogs on two walks, and it rained off and on all day (sometimes really heavily) so I guess his screen time was okay.

Looked at the items I'd ordered from Pottery Barn. Received 4 boxes in the mail from them. 2 had ledges and one had a shelf, and the other had a towel rack which I hadn't ordered. So I called them and waited on hold. And was disconnected after waiting over 25 minutes. Called back several times and waited on hold; never connected with a person. So I took pictures of the items with the tracking #s on the boxes and wrote an email. Which wouldn't send. Frustrated!

Went to town and sent it from the desktop. Had to add the pictures to the email again which took some time. Hopefully it'll be straightened out. Things like this are so exasperating! Printed off the other orders which I haven't received yet. Still waiting on a few things from the Gap which I ordered in April! 

Received the Salomon shoes from REI today. Bigger profile than I was anticipating. I had a pair of slip-on Salomons that I wore for probably 8 years until the soles fell apart. Most comfortable shoes ever! Hopefully these will be a good replacement. I dug out a pair of 12-year-old shoes I haven't worn much only to discover that the soles have separated! And no Shoe-Goo to repair them. Should throw them out. But I probably won't as the shoe itself is barely broken in.

Placed a order for household stuff (laundry detergent, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.) with Target. So many items can't be shipped. Kind of discouraging. I want to go shopping for myself, but can't contemplate a trip in to Anchorage. I used to think of myself as fearless. Now I dread even the thought of travel. 

News about town:  At their meeting yesterday the city extended The Virus Ordinances until early August. There was a march to support Black Lives Matter (BLM) here in town today, saw pics on Facebook. And a house on the Lake Road burned down. Completely. Hopefully no injuries. Priest went to Anchorage and will quarantine when he returns, which means no Mass for a long, long time. H likes to watch the late-night tv hosts. They continue to mock President Trump, some things haven't changed.
