On the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
O God, Who in the heart of Thy Son,
wounded by our sins,
does deign mercifully to bestow upon us
the infinite treasures of Thy love;
grant, we pray, that we who now pay Him the devout homage of our piety
may also perform the duty of worthy satisfaction.

Rainy day. Schoolwork with M; he finished his grammar book! Called bush order dept. regarding the order I emailed in last Thursday; still gathering items and will try to send it out today (same thing I was told when I called on Tuesday). Little chores finished. Laundry. Watered houseplants.
Talked to dentists' offices here and in Anchorage. Someone told me yesterday that dentists were required to test for The Virus! Thankfully, that's not true. Here, T will wear his mask to the appointment, then use mouthwash before his appointment. In Anchorage, I will wait in my car until the office texts me to come in, go straight back to the room, wash my hands and use mouthwash (no mask needed). Glad I called!
T came home for lunch. After he went back to work, H showed up. Nice to see him! He was looking for a tool, but stayed for lunch and a cup of tea. His project up at the Lake is going well. They're ready to pour the footers for the building once the concrete guy is ready. Hopefully he'll get Sunday off and he and the lads can go fishing. Hope to get a few kings before they all swim upstream!

Went into town for the express purpose of dropping donations at Ulla's. The thrift store now accepts donations only on Fridays. However, it was closed and we couldn't leave our boxes. The manager was out due to a death in the family. Sadly, it was our neighbor who died yesterday.
Stopped at the post office and checked the mail. Boden package! New skirt! Love the colors! Surprisingly it's a maxi, but it's light and airy and perfect for summer. A keeper!
Lovely!
A package from Target was waiting on our doorstep when we got back from town. A package was supposedly delivered yesterday, but not at our house! I contacted Target and my purchase ($5 laundry bag set) was refunded. While greatly appreciated, the point is that the delivery company keeps saying it has delivered packages when it hasn't. So frustrating!
I sprinkled the new grass seed all over the yard. Hopefully some of the seeds will grow into plants. Despite the rain, M tried out the new hose nozzle. It works with no drips! Satisfied with the order from Target. It's a place I never shop, but would order from them again.
Decided not to zoom with the Bristol Bay Bosom Buddies again tonight. While yesterday's meeting was fun, zoom uses too much internet data. The lads are watching the first Jurassic Park movie this evening. Perfect for a rainy night.
