Happy Anniversary 😘

Today is the anniversary of Sunny and Meile. What a couple! So in love with each other even after 25+ years of marriage. They set the bar high for the rest of us. 

Frustrating morning full of phone calls with businesses. H sorting out retirement. His contact called him an hour early, which was stressful because we had to hunt for information. Then a call to the credit card company regarding fraud charges. Finally a call into insurance to ask about unpaid reimbursement. More calls to make, but I was very grumpy by the time I got off the phone, so thought it best to wait before I burst a blood vessel.

I had to push my reset button before I started working with M. He got his report card in the mail yesterday: straight As! We had fun reading an excerpt from Washington Irving's Rip Van Winkle. And it was interesting to read an account of exploring under the Niagara Falls; it led us to look up information on the Terrapin Tower that was built there in the early 1800s. 

M will be watering a neighbor's garden while she's away this summer. He visited this morning to get all the details. Saw some lettuce that had gone to seed. Beautiful!

M hasn't been driving much, so I had him drive me to the local store. Not busy, but a long wait at the cashier because there were a couple of huge grocery orders. Still no milk or half & half. The manager said it might come in on Saturday's shipment. I hope so!

I worked outside on the edging project for a little while, and finished weeding the west flower bed. It was overcast, damp, and cold out. Walked with C after dinner. Kind of a blah day.

My package from The Paper Store arrived! Fun to open it, almost like Christmas or my birthday! Sadly, only one of the shirt fits. Guess the lads luck out! A box of pajamas also came in the mail. Splurge! Alas, still no coffee.
