The Mosquitoes Have Arrived En Force
Worked all day. When I did have the opportunity to get outside, the mosquitoes swarmed. Summer is here, the bugs are thick, working outside is no longer a joy.
Distracted from my main project at work, I started tidying up the books that were returned (AL and tape), which led to working through a few series. Needed to be done, but probably should have waited until I finished with the bios! L came in and collected another box of books to read and review. I looked over her list; she hadn't read all the books, but a wrote a well thought out critique of the the ones she did read.
T and I picked up subs at Subway (chicken bacon ranch) and went to the boat harbor for a picnic. What a beautiful day! And wonderful company! The docks are in! Saw some fishing boats tied up and wonder if we'll be getting any halibut this year. After we missed out on the first lot, the fisherman we talked to said he was going out again, but isn't that his boat?

Went home about 4 o'clock. Two of M's summer team showed up, so ran errands all afternoon: looking for cargo at the dock, picking up groceries and supplies, etc. He was off to camp until about 9pm, so we ate dinner without him. Definitely the start of summer!
T made delicious beef stroganoff for dinner. M rode around on the dirt bike and missed dinner, so I had to confiscate the key. Walk with B-boy and C after 8pm. Carried a big stick and swatted bugs.
Trollius are beautiful!
Chives are ready to harvest.
