Thole
Thole: endure (something) without complaint or resistance; tolerate [archaic, Scottish]
M had finished his schoolwork by the time I got up at 8:30. It's winding down and the temptation is not to finish, but we need closure and to put this school year behind us.
The power was out for well over an hour this morning. I checked with a neighbor and she said it was out at the hospital until the generator kicked in. Seems it was out all over town.
For whatever reason, that slowed down my day, and it was much like yesterday: a little puttering and a lot of reading.
M drove the jeep into town to pick up his lunches. We'd planned to walk along the beach, but the tide was high, so we drove home.
Walked with C in the afternoon.
Watered the outside potted plants.
Ordered Subway for dinner. I tried to order online but the website wouldn't load. I really don't like Subway as you can't just order an Italian sub and get an regualar Italian sub. Instead, it's choose your bread, choose your cheese, choose your veggies, choose your dressing. I ordered a sweet onion chicken terayaki sub and asked for jalepenos and red onions. "Do you want sweet onions with that?" Um...Anyway, they were the only veg on that sub, but there were cucumbers and tomatoes and spinach on the steak and cheese sub! ("What kind of cheese would you like with that?") The whole process is frustrating and I really miss normal sub shops!
Finished The Bourne Identity. Enjoyed it. Dated but still a good story.
