What's Good for the Goose Is Good for the Gander

M mowed. And mowed. And mowed. After the first few initial false starts, he got the lawn mower going, and persevered. Great job!

I raked part of the back yard and west side yard. Lots of thatch because the grass wasn't mowed in the fall. Hopefully I'll be able to rake it all over the next few days so we can mow again and clear out the dead stuff. I've ordered grass seed to fill in the bald patches.

I weeded the garden out front. Sadly, one branch of the honeysuckle bush broke off the trunk, so with M's help I tied it up. The bush has beautiful deep pink flowers.

It was such a lovely day, and a joy to be outside. Some neighbors strolled past and complimented the flowers. I promised them some trollius transplants in the fall.

C and I walked in the afternoon and then again after dinner. Just lovely.

H didn't get home until almost 10pm.
